About Karen:

I am a recently retired elementary teacher. I taught at the same school in Moreno Valley for 27 years. I have taught grades first through fifth and am familiar with the curriculum at each level. I also have experience in working with students with special needs. I was certified to teach NES, non English speaking and LES, limited English speaking students. I have three children and one grandson, so I am very much family oriented. I was a PTA board member for seventeen consecutive years and was awarded for my dedication to my students and their families. Parents were always welcome in my classroom and informed concerning their child's progress. I have been trained in numerous instructional programs, methods and strategies including those for teaching English language learners. I am anxious to use my experience in a tutoring situation and look forward to sharing in your child's success!
